Warning: Proud mom post ahead!
Miss Molly was inducted into the Junior Beta Club tonight.
The Beta Club Mission Statement is “To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.”
I am confident in saying that Molly demonstrates all those characteristics. Molly has always been determined. She is one to work until she figures out how to do something or until she gets it right. I can remember her teaching her older sister how to tie her shoes and ride a bike. I can remember when she was learning to read in kindergarten that her teacher remarked what a diligent worker she was. She would work with Molly during rest time because that was what Molly wanted to do. She wanted to be able to read. It was so important to her. I’m thankful that she had a teacher that recognized that and took the time out of her day to give Molly that extra attention.
She has a confidence that I wish I possessed. I was shocked the day of cheerleading tryouts last spring when she told me that she had volunteered to go first! That is Molly. Tonight and every night I am super proud to be her mom.
Way to go Molly! Me and Grandma are very proud of you! You display all the qualities that make us very proud of you!
